MSG Arena

In 2021, MSG Arena, a new multi-use arena in the Santa Guilia district of Milan intended for use in the 2026 Winter Olympics, was commissioned and the company in charge, EVD Milan S.r.l. announced a tender for its construction.

Intending to participate in the tender, the construction company Rizzani De Eccher engaged Progetto CMR for the study of the tender. Bestmind’s assistance was requested in its capacity as a consultancy, in particular to provide support in the drafting of methodologies.

Bestmind’s responsibilities in this project included:

• defining with Rizzani De Eccher the macro phases of construction of the building
• detailing the activities for each macro phase
• identifying brands, models and positioning of all fixed and self-propelled lifting equipment
• defining the routes and sequences for the movement of the work equipment
• defining the number and specialization of the workers needed in the different phases of the project
• defining the assembly sequences of the glass facades and LED walls of each ring
• identifying the strategic partner for the sizing, supply and installation of the metal carpentry roofing
• defining the sequence and complete drafting of the assembly, as well as the entire method statement for the metal carpentry roofing
• drafting the method statement for the assembly of the glass walls
• drafting the description of the interface methods between institutions, designers, testers, clients and all other contractors
• drafting the building construction schedule with the definition of a sufficient number of WBSs in line with the appropriate phase
